Each key rack begins as a custom-designed relief carving, digitally sculpted to capture the layered depth of the graveyard scene. Using CNC carving technology, the frame, mansion façade, lettering, ghostly figures, headstones, and decorative details are precision carved from wood before being carefully refined by hand.
The individual elements are then sealed and hand-painted using multiple layers of acrylic paints, washes, and dry-brushing techniques to create the attraction’s distinctive haunted atmosphere. Subtle colour transitions bring depth to the graveyard, while the mansion, flaming torches, and ghostly residents are individually highlighted to draw the eye across the composition.
Once the artwork is complete, six hand-finished wooden hooks, styled to resemble flickering wall torches, are fitted to the base of the piece, transforming the carving into a practical everyday key rack. A durable protective finish is then applied, ensuring the piece can be enjoyed for years to come while combining traditional woodworking, precision carving, hand painting, and themed storytelling into a unique functional artwork.
