How It’s Made

Every artwork begins as a digital design before being precision carved from quality timber using CNC technology. Once the carving is complete, each piece is carefully hand finished to enhance the depth and texture of the wood.
The porthole is painted using layered metallic effects to recreate the appearance of aged brass, while the sunset is built up with multiple blended colours to achieve a warm evening glow. The sea, ship and toucan are then individually hand painted with careful attention to light, shadow and fine detail, allowing each element to stand out while working together as a single scene.
