A richly detailed tribute to Disney’s Haunted Mansion, bringing together some of the attraction’s most memorable characters and scenes in one dramatic, handcrafted display.
The design recreates the eerie atmosphere of the mansion’s interior, from the ominous coffin, Blackbird and ghostly residents to the unmistakable mansion standing above it all. Layered architectural details, furniture, candlelight and carefully positioned characters give the piece a wonderful sense of depth, almost like looking into a miniature theatrical set.
Deep Moonlight walls, aged metallic finishes and subtle touches of colour create a suitably dark and atmospheric appearance while allowing every carved detail to stand out. This is a substantial statement piece created for a true Haunted Mansion enthusiast, with something new to discover each time you look at it.

How It’s Made

The artwork began as a completely bespoke digital design, with each character, prop and architectural element carefully arranged to create the finished scene.
The individual components were then precision-carved from wood using a CNC machine. The carving process took many hours, gradually revealing everything from the fine brickwork of the mansion to the folds of clothing, floral arrangements and tiny decorative details.
Once carved, every element was prepared, assembled and painted by hand. Multiple washes, glazes and dry-brushed highlights were built up in layers to bring out the depth of the carving and produce its aged, otherworldly finish. Muted greens, turquoise tones and weathered metallic colours were used throughout, with small areas of warmer colour added to draw attention to key details.
Finally, the individual carvings were carefully assembled into a layered wooden backdrop and given a protective finish, creating a unique piece designed and made from beginning to end in the KF Wood Design workshop.
