How it's made

Designed as both a decorative display piece and a functional home accessory, this Haunted Mansion inspired hat rack combines layered relief carving with practical hanging hooks integrated into the composition. The layout balances the bold gothic typography and mansion façade with dimensional character carvings, graveyard silhouettes and gargoyle-inspired hook details to create a strong themed centrepiece.

The artwork is precision CNC carved from solid oak using multiple carving depths to create separation between the foreground figures, background scenery and raised lettering. Once carved, the piece is individually hand-finished using layered washes, antique glazing and subtle highlighting techniques to achieve the aged haunted attraction aesthetic while preserving the natural grain and texture of the timber beneath the finish.
