The scene begins as a collection of individually designed relief carvings that are carefully arranged to create depth, movement, and visual storytelling. Using CNC carving technology, the characters, books, waterfall, rocks, and timber base are carved from wood before being refined and detailed by hand.
Each element is then sealed and hand-painted using multiple layers of acrylic paints, washes, and dry-brushing techniques. The books are individually coloured to create contrast and visual interest, while the waterfall is built up with layered blues and whites to give the impression of flowing water. The characters receive careful hand-painted shading and highlights to bring them to life.
Once completed, all elem
