Haunted Mansion Stretching Room

This piece was designed to recreate the eerie atmosphere and theatrical composition of a classic haunted gallery scene, combining layered architectural elements, carved portrait panels and dimensional character work into a single relief composition. Particular attention was given to the balance between deep shadows, decorative gothic ornamentation and the subtle contrast of the ghostly blue-green figures against the darker timber tones.

The artwork is precision CNC carved from solid oak in multiple depth layers to create strong visual separation and depth throughout the scene. Once carved, the plaque is individually hand-finished using layered colour washes, antique glazing and dry-brushed highlights to enhance the aged mansion aesthetic while allowing the natural warmth and texture of the wood grain to remain visible beneath the finish.
