Pirates of the Caribbean Bayou

This piece was created to capture the contrast between the warm intimate atmosphere of the famous waterside restaurant setting and the darker mysterious world beyond the archway. The composition combines carved architectural stonework, miniature dining details and a layered pirate cavern scene to create the feeling of looking directly into the attraction itself.

The artwork is precision CNC carved from solid oak using multiple relief depths to separate the foreground dining area from the background pirate scene and cavern textures. After carving, the plaque is individually hand-finished using layered colour washes, shading and dry-brushed highlights to enhance the warm lantern-lit ambience while preserving the natural character and texture of the wood beneath the paint finish.
