A Haunted Christmas A festive take on one of my favourite themes, this piece brings together the warmth of a traditional Christmas wreath with the wonderfully eerie atmosphere of a certain Californian haunted manor. At the centre sits the grand mansion dressed for Christmas, surrounded by snow-covered gates, glowing windows and a few familiar ghostly residents. Around it, a deeply carved wreath of holly, berries and pinecones is woven together with a rich red ribbon, while our very tall festive visitor arrives bearing a Christmas present. The whole design is finished with an ornate “Merry Christmas” plaque, aged in dark bronze and antique brass tones to give it the feel of an old mansion nameplate rather than a modern Christmas decoration.
